A fire destroyed nearly a dozen apartments – ten units – at Hunter’s Cove Complex, a northwest Houston apartment complex, Saturday. Building ten sustained the most fire damage.
A firewall stopped the fire from spreading to half of the building, but the damaged half was engulfed by flames that quickly spread through the attic.
Houston Fire Department pulled a third alarm when some firefighters were unaccounted for briefly. Thankfully, all were unharmed and turned out OK.
The Red Cross made itself available but officials said the apartment management would most likely relocate those who were affected by the fire.
Ten apartment units suffered heavy damage in the fire. At this time the cause of the fire is unknown and being investigated.
