Consumer complaints of foul smell and taste have led to a voluntary, precautionary recall of some lots of Lemon Chalet Crème, Girl Scout Cookies.

“Certain lots of Lemon Chalet Crème cookies contain oils that may be breaking down which can result in an off taste and smell,” according to a news release by Little Brown Bakers.

Little Brown Bakers, is one of two bakeries in the U.S. that manufacturers Girl Scout Cookies.

The cookie recall spans 24 states, including Texas. A list of lot codes affected by the recall can be found on the Little Brown Baker Web site.

No illnesses have been reported. An estimated 636,000 boxes of cookies are affected by the recall.

Consumers who purchased the lemon cookies can call 1-800-962-1718 for refund information.
